stay at home mama
Alex and Joel owned a local women's boutique, but closed their business at the beginning of 2023 so that Alex could stay home with their son full time. It was the best decision they could have made! Now Alex is available to be with Quill and their future children all day. They read books, play with play dough, cook together, watch tv, play outside, go for walks, and use their imaginations indoors as they play car and build forts. The kids will be able to watch Mommy take care of the family and the house and join in, learning important skills. If Quill gets hurt or needs a cuddle, Alex is available to stop what she’s doing and give him her time. She is thankful every day for the fulfilled dream and opportunity to stay home and be a full-time mama.

Aside from being a mommy, Alex enjoys anything creative, from knitting, to sewing, to painting her home and making decor for her walls. She looks forward to planning elaborate birthdays for Quill each year, and enjoys crocheting toys for him and making him cute, unique clothes. Before becoming a mom, Alex was involved in multiple art shows and had an Etsy shop and website, where she sold hand sewn velvet strawberries and miniature felt animals. These days, she spends most of her free time making gifts for Quill and her nieces and nephews. If she can dream it, Alex will try to make it!
childhood
Growing up, Alex spent a lot of time playing “house”. She and her sisters were always the mamas and they had a very large collection of dolls, doll clothes and accessories and a kitchen set with play food. They spent hours every day dreaming up stories for their pretend families and acting them out. Alex has a big imagination and loves encouraging imaginative play in their home.
